OpenAir is the premier conference that focuses on creating engineering solutions to the challenges of matching. The brightest minds in the industry will come together to tackle such issues as search and discovery, trust, internationalization, mobile, identity, and infrastructure.

Today’s fastest growing startups and established companies are working harder than ever to crack the code of increasingly sophisticated personalization and matching, especially in an ecosystem of varied cultures and languages. The success of these companies depends on the ability to connect people to exactly what they need at the right time in the right place with the right tools — whether that’s matching to another person, movie, ride, destination, gift, or a place for a good night’s sleep.

To create a seamless experience, engineers work tirelessly to develop powerful algorithms, employ machine learning tools, use predictive analytics, and maintain the infrastructure to get them closer to the Holy Grail — creating the perfect match.

The Details

Leading technologists, engineers, and visionaries from today’s fastest growing companies such as Instagram, Lyft, Pinterest, Homejoy, Netflix, Etsy, Stripe, and Periscope will share tips, best practices, and reveal some exciting things they are working on.

You will get access to technical talks, hands-on sessions, and thought-provoking discussions to help you break through some of your own engineering challenges and projects. Throughout the day there will be time to network with local engineers, take part in interactive sessions, and drop in for lightning talks.

Registration is $50 and all proceeds from registration fees will be donated to CODE2040. CODE2040 is a nonprofit organization that creates programs that increase the representation of Blacks and Latino/a in the innovation economy. CODE2040 believes the tech sector, communities of color, and the country as a whole will be stronger if talent from all backgrounds is included in the creation of the companies, programs, and products of tomorrow.
